    Con Powell Award

    Hannah Bishop, one of our Teachers of the Deaf, recently graduated from Mary Hare and received the Con Powell award for the best student training to be a Teacher of the Deaf.  Congratulations Hannah!

    New Head of Service for Berkshire Sensory Consortium

    At the end of December 2017, Berkshire Sensory Consortium said farewell to Gillian Coles, our Head of Service for 15 years.  Gillian (fourth left) is currently touring Australia and New Zealand and we wish her well in all the exciting adventures she has ahead of her.

    Jane Peters (second left) is now Acting Head of Service for Berkshire Sensory Consortium and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the position.  Jane has had a number of roles since joining the Service in 1992 as a Teacher of the Deaf,  Hearing Impaired Team Co-ordinator and a Service Development Coordinator. She also leads the Early Years and Deafness postgraduate course through Hertfordshire Universary and is a lecturer on the Teacher of the Deaf Mandatory Qualification.
